Our team members in the Democratic Republic of Congo face an escalating crisis. Intensifying conflict in eastern Congo forced our team to evacuate, while many local partners and colleagues remain in very difficult circumstances.

Current Situation:
Recent escalations in conflict are severely impacting eastern Congo. Many residents with the means to do so evacuated, but countless vulnerable people remain with limited options. Basic services are strained, banks have bene closed for over a month, movement is constrained, and with our team's power system being one of the only functioning utilities in certain areas.
Our team members have been forced to leave their homes, communities, and work behind. Even from a distance, our team members continue to come alongside locally based colleagues to maintain essential services under very challenging conditions.
