Derek is excited to join Mesa Global as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining, he served with InterVarsity/USA in campus ministry to undergraduate students, holding various positions from Campus Minister to Regional Ministry Director for New England. He is passionate about evangelism, discipleship, and developing sustainable ministry systems that support long-term Kingdom impact. He loves Mesa Global's vision for equipping leaders for the church and serving together in partnership at the common table. Before his ministry work, Derek worked in the financial industry.
Derek earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Sciences from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2005. Originally from Southern California, he has lived in Cambridge since moving there for college in 2001. He now resides there with his wife Cecilia, son Theo, and dog Harmony. He enjoys cooking for family and friends, exercising, and biking around the city.
