Jonathan serves as Chief Ministries Officer for Mesa Global, overseeing key leaders who support global staff across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America. Our staff in these diverse ministries share a deep love for Jesus and a common calling to equip leaders as they do ministry.
Jonathan brings 16 years of cross-cultural ministry experience from Mexico City, where he served as a church planter and lead pastor, helped launch an international Christian school, and worked as a regional leader for Mesa Global. He is originally from Iowa and is a graduate of Duke University, Gordon-Conwell Seminary, and Fuller Seminary. He is an ordained pastor in ECO and serves locally at Threshold Church in Weddington, North Carolina.
Jonathan and his wife Rocío have two teenage children, Sara and Daniel. As a bicultural family, they love exploring colonial towns in Mexico and hiking mountain trails in the USA.
