Serving here for the past 20 years, our passion is for the renewal of the Church, the re-evangelisation of Hungary, and the transformation of our society. Consequently, we train churches across the country to run Alpha, Marriage and Parenting Courses, as well as invest in the spiritual formation of new believers as well as local church leaders. Due to Hungary’s context in Central Europe, we also lead initiatives to assist the poor and marginalized.
Currently, I (John) serve as Curate in the Anglican Chaplaincy here in Budapest, with the long-term goal of planting a Hungarian language congregation. I also help lead the National Alpha Office and serve as President of an association of missionaries and Christian workers in Hungary. Zsófi invests four days a week teaching ELL and Hungarian at the International Christian School (ICSB), while also offering counselling, spiritual mentoring and contributing to Mesa Global's global spiritual formation team.
- That God would provide the right people and resources to plant a Hungarian language congregation.
- For Zsófi's continued professional development, both as a teacher as well as a counsellor. She is considering graduate studies in the coming years.
- For our four children, as they increasingly move towards adulthood and begin to make life choices including where to go to college (Hungary? US? Elsewhere?) and the implications for our family going forward.
