Hello! My name is Amya Walters, and I am a student at Grand Canyon University studying Biblical Studies and Worship Leadership. My passion for ministry started when I was young, and throughout my life, I have been very fortunate to explore worship ministry and deepen my love for serving others. I strive to help others encounter Jesus in a new way through worship.

In summer 2026, I’ll spend 10 weeks in the UK as a summer intern with the Alliance for Transatlantic Theological Training (AT3), serving in a local church, where I will be involved with discipleship, evangelism, church events, community projects, and more! I get the chance to live with a host family for this time and to be immersed in the culture. I am so excited to learn about the details in running a ministry and to support them wherever is needed!

Since AT3 is a UK charity, they partner with Mesa Global, a missions organization in the US, to send US interns. Together, they equip workers to serve the local church and prepare for ministry in a post-Christian context. I’m excited to be a part of the work God is already doing in the UK!

  • Prayers for safety would be much appreciated; living in a new country is exciting, and I want to do it well!
  • I would also appreciate prayers for financial stability and wisdom. The Lord has blessed me with this opportunity, and I want to steward the tools for this trip well.
  • Finally, prayers of boldness. I hope to glorify and magnify the name of Jesus with the gifts that he has given me.
