During a mission trip to the UK in July 2024, our team was challenged by the pastor there to consider coming back longer term to help with efforts to revitalize struggling churches in their area. God used that challenge to ignite a call in our hearts as we prayed about the possibility.
Our call was intensified as we learned more statistics about the UK church. According to the “The Quiet Revival,” 12% of the UK population attend church once a month, and over a third of those people claim to lack confidence in reading Scripture. There is a crucial need for leadership and discipleship in the UK church!
God confirmed this call and we were accepted to the AT3 apprenticeship program where we will be assigned to a local church and given the opportunity to walk alongside new believers, helping them to thrive and the church to grow. We will help develop new local church leaders, while undergoing more formal training ourselves, particularly in the area of Biblical Counseling.
