On the Isle of Bute, a small congregation stood on the edge of closing. Bute Baptist Church had only fifteen members, most elderly and without a pastor. Yet God was preparing something new.
When Mesa Workers Caleb and Rachel Sides visited, they saw not a dying church but a spark of hope. They joined coffee gatherings, prayed with the faithful few, and encouraged the community to believe renewal was possible.
Over time, that spark caught fire. Visiting pastors began offering consistent teaching, Bible studies flourished, and attendance nearly doubled. The sound of worship filled the sanctuary once again.
In a culture drifting from faith, Bute Baptist has become a small but steady witness—a sign that the gospel still brings life where it’s least expected.
Where churches close, Christ opens hearts. Where faith fades, His Spirit restores.
One congregation renewed. One community revived. One gospel still changing lives.
